Cosmetic medicine has, traditionally, always been viewed as an entirely female-oriented field of healthcare. Not any more! Men are more aware of their appearance than ever before with selfies, profile pictures and social media a day-to-day part of their lives. At the same time, in-office, non-surgical cosmetic procedures make it easier and less intimidating for men to do something about their looks, too.
Men currently account for eight percent of all cosmetic treatments – everything from liposuction to wrinkle treatment. That number is up from just one percent just 1 year ago – maybe because men are more interested in their appearance, or maybe because these treatments are safer, easier and more effective than ever.
