Spider Veins on the Face

Spider veins typically emerge on the legs, but they are known to appear on the face as well. Facial spider veins, also known as telangiectasias, are reasonably common. Effectively, these veins are red/blue and look almost thread-like in appearance, resembling a veiny spider web around your nose area. They’re formed due to high pressure in the venous system, expanding the vein’s walls. From here, the capillaries also increase in size, which leads to spider veins.

Often caused by underlying inflammation, obesity or high blood pressure that can damage vessel walls, spider veins are also often the effect of photodamage (sun exposure) and aging. They will not improve on their own and may worsen with age.

VeinGogh for Facial Veins

At Premier Vein & Body, we use the state-of-the-art VeinGogh treatment for facial veins, including those on the nose, which are often too small for sclerotherapy injections and too sensitive for most topical laser treatment.

VeinGogh works to treat facial veins by delivering high frequency bursts of energy through extremely fine insulated needles into the wall of the veins, causing them to collapse. The collapsed veins are then absorbed by the body naturally, removing the issue permanently.

The beauty of VeinGogh is that the insulated needles ensure the surrounding skin is protected and only the veins are treated, ensuring that you will not develop scarring or hyperpigmentationThe entire treatment lasts around 15 minutes, and we usually recommend 2-3 separate appointments to see the full effects.
