Awake Liposuction
Unlike “traditional liposuction”, our “Awake Lipo” is performed right in the physician’s office, using only local tumescent anesthesia. A large volume of tumescent liquid (a saline solution mixed with anesthetics) is injected into the body area being treated, engorging the area with fluid. This creates more room between the skin and the subcutaneous tissue, helping to separate the fat cells, and allowing the cannula to move more easily through the fat.
Since its inception, tumescent liposuction has established an excellent safety profile with less trauma to the body while still producing exceptional results! Dr. Craig Schwartz prefers the Tickle Lipo modality, but can also offer Vaser Liposuction, as well as Laser Lipo. This is a “one and done” treatment, with someone immediate results that only improve as the swelling subsides over the following two months.
