Watch Dr. Craig Schwartz discuss why Fall is the best time of year to begin vein treatment on the set of KC Live.

After a long, hot summer of wearing capri pants instead of shorts, fall is almost here. With the hot weather and summer vacations just about behind us, it’s the perfect time for anyone suffering with varicose veins or spider veins to seek vein specialist options and begin treatment.

Vein treatment – especially, for spider veins- often requires a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart. Beginning vein treatment during the fall season provides us with the most ideal prolonged period of nice weather that we need to fully treat the diseased veins, start to finish. Our vein patients that must wear compression hose for a period of time especially appreciate the cooler weather!

Fall is, also, often that wonderful time of year when many patients have met their annual insurance deductible, so healthcare procedures become require a much lower out-of-pocket responsibility from the patient. We also see an increase in the number of patients tapping into their Flexible Spending Accounts or Healthcare Savings Accounts. Although remaining funds in some of those funds may roll over to the following year, not all will, so make sure and check the status of your own account.

The staff at Premier Vein & Body by Schwartz has years of experience working with insurance plans in determining patients’ vein treatment coverage. They make it very simple and easy for each and every patient.
