What is the Best Non-Surgical Body Contouring Treatment?

If you have been looking for a way to sculpt your figure without surgery and downtime, you have several options. At Premier Vein & Body by Schwartz, we prefer the truSculpt ID® system for non-surgical body contouring. It offers non-surgical sculpting with the added advantage of skin tightening, so your results look even better.

What is Non-Surgical Body Contouring?

Many men and women have benefited from body sculpting to help them remove stubborn areas of fat. Non-surgical body contouring allows you to tackle your most difficult pockets of fat. It uses no incisions or invasive procedures and is gentle on the skin while targeting fat cells. Highly effective body contouring treatments can remove significant amounts of fat from targeted areas to sculpt and slim them.

What is the Best Non-Surgical Body Contouring Treatment?

When considering the best non-surgical body contouring method, we recommend learning about the risks and benefits of each treatment. Dr. Craig Schwartz is a triple board-certified expert in body sculpting treatments and after years of providing patients with other popular non-surgical body contouring treatments, he now prefers truSculpt ID® for most.

How Does Body Contouring With truSculpt ID® Work?

truSculpt ID® used monopolar radiofrequency (RF) energy at a frequency that targets fat cells. The fat cells absorb heat from the RF energy, damaging them and causing them to break apart. Your skin will not absorb these wavelengths, so your skin cells never overheat. Many patients report that treatment feels like a hot stone massage and even find it relaxing.

The RF energy in truSculpt ID® also heats the deeper layers of your skin, triggering new collagen production and tightening existing collagen fibers. Other body contouring treatments can leave loose skin behind after fat removal, but truSculpt ID® helps solve this problem. Your treated areas will look slimmer and firmer with less skin laxity.

truSculpt ID® vs. CoolSculpting®

People often compare CoolSculpting® and truSculpt ID because both offer effective, non-invasive body contouring. In some areas, truSculpt ID has a distinct advantage.

Better Applicators

CoolSculpting® only works when you have fat that the applicator can lift and treat, while truSculpt ID® uses an applicator that rests flat against the skin.

Skin Tightening

Unlike CoolSculpting®, truSculpt ID® uses RF energy that generates heat. While this heat breaks down fat cells, it also stimulates skin-tightening collagen production.

No Risk of PAH

Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia is an uncommon side effect of CoolSculpting® and similar treatments. truSculpt ID® will not cause this post-treatment overgrowth of fat cells.

Faster Treatments

While a CoolSculpting® treatment can last up to an hour, your truSculpt ID® session will only last about fifteen minutes.

Gentler Treatment

truSculpt ID is a gentle treatment where the applicator “glides” over the fat to be treated without the tugging and freezing of CoolSculpting.  And patients are not left with a painful “brick” of frozen fat!

truSculpt ID® vs. Liposuction

If you have been debating between non-surgical body contouring and minimally-invasive liposuction, both have advantages and downsides. Liposuction uses a cannula inserted through a small incision to break up and remove fat. It can remove more fat than non-surgical methods, but it will require several days of recovery and involve discomfort and bruising. For those who want a more sculpted figure but have no time for recovery, truSculpt ID® lets you return to your usual activities immediately although a series of truSculpt treatments are required.

How Long Can Body Contouring Results Last?

Non-surgical body contouring with truSculpt ID® breaks apart fat cells. The body will filter the remnants of these cells away. Fat cells do not grow back, but they can expand. Your results will last as long as you maintain a stable weight.

What Results Will I See With truSculpt ID®?

Your results from truSculpt ID® may become visible within a few weeks but will keep improving for about three months as your body removes fat cells. The truSculpt ID® system can remove up to 24% of fat from your treated areas. Some people may see their desired results after one treatment, but others will benefit from a second one. After your treatments, you will not need any maintenance as long as you maintain your healthy lifestyle.

Am I a Good Candidate for truSculpt ID®?

If you are near your target body weight and have difficult areas of fat, you may be a good candidate for truSculpt ID®. Candidates should have reasonable expectations about their results. You will see the best results if you already lead a generally healthy lifestyle before treatment. You may not make a good candidate if you are pregnant or have a pacemaker.

Is There Any Downtime With truSculpt ID®?

You can resume your usual activities right after treatment with truSculpt ID®. Redness and warmth last less than an hour. You might notice mild sensitivity to touch for a day or two, but you can immediately go back to your routine, including exercise.
