What is Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation?

When most people think of breast augmentation, they think of implants. Women have many reasons for choosing to avoid implants. Fortunately, fat transfer breast augmentation allows you to achieve your breast enhancement goals while safely using your own fat. As a result, it offers fuller breasts without the risks or disadvantages of implants, making it an attractive choice for those seeking a natural option.

What is Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation?

If you want to increase your breast volume but are not interested in using implants to achieve it, natural breast augmentation offers an alternative. Even women considering implants may find that a fat transfer procedure has more benefits for them.

Fat transfer breast augmentation at Premier Vein & Body by Schwartz uses the specialized BeautiFill™ laser system to collect and purify fat from one area of your body and transfer it to your breasts. Fat cells behave the same way no matter where in your body they are found, which means that unwanted fat from your abdomen, waist, or other problem areas can find new life through enhanced breast volume.

How Does Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation Work?

This procedure begins with Dr. Craig Schwartz, Kansas City’s most experienced BeautiFill surgeon, making a few tiny incisions in the fat donor area and inserting the BeautiFill™ laser handpiece. Unlike traditional liposuction, which can damage fat cells and reduce their chances of survival, the BeautiFill™ laser gently separates fat cells from the surrounding tissues, providing high-quality fat for transfer, ensuring a high survival rate.

The collected and purified fat cells are injected into your breasts, strategically adding volume and shape. The fat cells will establish a new blood supply, settle in, and remain for the rest of your life. While some percentage of fat cells are lost after any fat transfer, BeautiFill™ offers a success rate of 95% of cells still in place after healing, allowing Dr. Schwartz to provide more accurate results since he does not have to overfill in order to allow for the possibility of a large amount of the transferred fat cells to potentially die.

What are the Benefits of Natural Breast Augmentation?

If you picture yourself with fuller breasts but not with large scars or artificial materials, fat transfer breast augmentation has several benefits for you. Individuals choose this procedure for many reasons, including:

No Implants

While implants are generally safe, they always carry some degree of risk, including the potential for a rupture. Since natural breast augmentation uses your own fat, it will not move out of place, cause scar tissue, or have other problematic effects.

Natural Look and Feel

No one will know your breasts have been enhanced using fat transfer because there is nothing artificial to see or feel. Your breasts still have their natural softness. In addition, fat transfer breast augmentation is scarless, so you will not have any scars on or under your breasts.

Enhances Your Curves

By removing fat from problem areas and adding it to places where you need it, fat transfer helps contour your figure and achieve a more attractive shape. If you are seeking larger buttocks to balance your fuller breasts, a BeautiFill™ Brazilian BBL can complete your curvier look. Liposuction can also be used to sculpt your abdomen, waistline, and other areas for a slimmer, more sculpted figure.

Lasts a Lifetime

As anyone who has struggled with weight loss knows, fat cells can change in size, but they do not die. Once settled into their new location, your fat cells will remain in your breasts for the rest of your life with no maintenance or attention needed. Unlike breast implants that must be replaced after ten to fifteen years, if not sooner, this procedure gives you worry-free results.

How Long is Recovery After Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation?

The most invasive part of the fat transfer procedure is using a few small incisions to insert the BeautiFill™ handpiece. These heal into nearly invisible little scars that most people never notice. Injecting the fat into your breasts leaves no scarring or incisions. Depending on the area of the body where you had fat collected and whether you had other procedures, most people can return to work and other light activities within a few days.

You will usually be cleared to resume more strenuous activities within about a week, but follow the instructions provided by your Premier Vein & Body Team. Each person heals at a different rate. You will receive instructions on how to sleep and other precautions to protect your breasts while your fat cells become established.

Am I a Good Candidate for Natural Breast Augmentation?

Since it uses your fat and nothing artificial, most people can benefit from fat transfer breast augmentation with minimal risk of side effects. Good candidates have reasonable expectations and understand that most people can expect to gain up to a cup size but not the dramatic results of implants. Candidates must have enough body fat to be used for the procedure.
