How to Tighten Eyelid Skin Without Surgery

Have creams, serums, and other topical treatments failed to correct your drooping eyelid skin? It may not be time for surgery yet! Non-surgical Tixel® works by rejuvenating and firming your delicate eyelid skin. With this effective collagen-stimulating treatment, you can look alert and refreshed without the recovery time of surgery.

What Causes Drooping Eyelid Skin?

Many factors contribute to signs of aging around the eyes. Age causes your skin to produce less collagen, a protein that provides structure and firmness. Collagen loss also causes the skin to look thinner, giving eyelids a crepey, wrinkled appearance. Genetics can affect how your skin responds to aging. Environmental factors like sun exposure can contribute to your concerns.

How to Tighten Eyelid Skin Without Surgery

Many begin their anti-aging eye journey with eye creams and other topical products. These options may provide a minor skin-firming effect but rarely the degree of tightening you want. People with drooping eyelids may think a blepharoplasty or eyelid lift is their only option.

Fortunately, Tixel® provides a non-surgical option for tightening loose eyelid skin. This treatment triggers collagen development, making thin, wrinkled eyelid skin look firmer and smoother. Along with the eyes, Tixel® can provide skin rejuvenation to the entire face. Your Premier Vein & Body laser aesthetician can customize the intensity of the treatment to address your primary concerns.

How Does Tixel® Work for Eyelid Tightening?

Tixel® provides skin rejuvenation and tightening without laser energy, making it safe for more skin types and tones. Unlike many lasers, Tixel® works safely around the eyes and even on the eyelids due to its use of Thermo-Mechanical Action (TMA®), which applies heat with a grid of tiny titanium cones. The cones touch the skin for a fraction of a second, creating tiny areas of micro-damage.

Your skin responds by increasing collagen production and activating repair mechanisms. Your skin cells will continue to add new collagen over the following weeks. The surface of your skin will also look smoother and brighter as youthful new cells replace the older, damaged ones.

How Long Does a Tixel® Treatment Take?

Tixel® treatment is a minimally invasive procedure that uses thermal energy to rejuvenate the skin’s appearance. The treatment typically takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the targeted areas. Our experienced laser aestheticians strive to ensure comfort during the procedure and may apply numbing cream as needed.

We customize the strength of the session based on your specific needs and goals. More intensive treatment may require longer downtime but yield quicker results. We work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that best suits your preferences and desired outcomes. Premier Vein & Body is dedicated to providing safe and effective Tixel® treatment that will leave your eyelids looking tighter and rejuvenated.

How Many Tixel® Treatments Will I Need?

The number of Tixel® treatments needed depends on factors like skin condition and treatment intensity. Most people will start to see results after one treatment, but most patients need a series of three for desired results. We will discuss your cosmetic goals and your recommended number of sessions during your consultation with Dr. Craig Schwartz. Tixel patients will benefit from annual touch-up treatments.

What Results Will I See With Tixel® for Drooping Eyelids?

You may notice that your eyelids look tighter and smoother in the first few weeks after Tixel® treatment. Full results typically take four to six weeks to develop. You will notice that the skin on your eyelids looks tighter and more lifted. Eyelid skin looks more youthful and less crepey, and you look more bright-eyed and alert. Your new collagen should last a year or more, and you can maintain your results with yearly treatments.

Am I a Good Candidate for Tixel® Eyelid Tightening?

Most people who want to rejuvenate their eye area make good candidates for Tixel®. This skin-tightening treatment is safe even for darker skin tones and delicate eye areas. Healthy adults of almost any age can have Tixel®. However, you should not have this treatment if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or tend to form abnormal scars.

Is There Any Downtime with Tixel® for Drooping Eyelids?

Most people experience a few days of redness, sensitivity, and swelling after Tixel® treatment around the eyes. You can return to your usual activities immediately and start wearing makeup the day after treatment. We recommend avoiding strenuous activity and swimming for 24 hours. Protecting your skin from the sun will keep UV rays from damaging your developing new collagen, and we recommend sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat to keep your results looking tight and youthful.
