How to Get Rid of Eye Bags and Sagging Eyelids

Sagging and puffiness around the eyes can make people wonder whether you have been staying up too late. You can lift and rejuvenate the eye area with Tixel® non-surgical blepharoplasty. Unlike lasers and most other non-surgical treatments, Tixel® works safely on the delicate eye area, even the eyelids, to tighten and smooth.

What Causes Eye Bags and Sagging Eyelids?

Most people will notice changes to the eye area as they age. Common concerns include undereye bags, puffiness, and drooping, crepey eyelids. Many of us do not have to wait for our age to cause these issues since genetics play a strong role, especially in developing undereye bags and dark circles. Age-related collagen loss can lead to lines and wrinkles around the eyes and loss of eyelid elasticity.

How to Get Rid of Eye Bags and Sagging Eyelids

In the past, those with eye bags and sagging eyelids would probably need a blepharoplasty to see their desired improvements, as laser treatments that tighten other parts of the face are generally unsafe around the eyes. Blepharoplasty uses small incisions in the upper and lower lids to tighten loose skin.

Tixel® is the first-ever non-surgical alternative to safely treat signs of aging around the eyes. Unlike blepharoplasty, it requires no time off work, no limits on your activities, and minimal discomfort. At Premier Vein & Body by Schwartz, we offer Tixel® non-surgical blepharoplasty for total eye rejuvenation. This treatment achieves dramatic improvements with long-lasting results.

As an entirely new option for eyelid rejuvenation, Tixel® tightens and firms the treated area without incisions or injections. New collagen thickens and strengthens the upper eyelids to eliminate a crepey, wrinkled appearance. It also tightens the undereye area to smooth eye bags and puffiness.

How Does Tixel® Work for Eye Bags and Sagging Eyelids?

Tixel® works using thermal-mechanical action (TMA®). A small metal plate with pyramid-shaped titanium points briefly touches your skin. It transfers heat into the skin and creates tiny areas of controlled thermal damage. The skin responds to this micro-damage by producing new collagen, making the skin firmer and smoother. Increased collagen production restores the skin’s underlying support structure to correct sagging eyelids.

The mechanical action of Tixel® makes it incredibly precise, allowing it to work safely around the eyes and even on the eyelids. Tixel® can be used all over the face to tighten the skin but works especially well in the eye area. It has earned its reputation as a non-surgical blepharoplasty due to its unmatched level of lifting and firming.

What Should I Expect During a Tixel® Treatment?

Your Premier Vein & Body team will customize your Tixel® treatment to meet your needs. With several intensity settings, Tixel® allows you to choose what your treatment feels like, how much downtime you will have, and how many treatments you will need. Less intensive treatments can produce the same results but will require more treatments.

We offer numbing cream for more intensive treatments or if you have concerns. You may feel some heat when the titanium tips touch the skin, but this lasts a fraction of a second.

Is There Any Downtime With Tixel® Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty?

Tixel® requires little to no downtime. When used around the eyes, it typically causes a day or two of redness and swelling. Intensive treatment may have more swelling that takes an extra day or two to fade. You can resume wearing makeup the day after treatment to hide residual redness. Protect your delicate eye area from sun damage while your new collagen develops.

What Results Will I See With Tixel®?

Most people benefit from three Tixel® sessions to achieve their desired results. You may need more sessions to see the same results if you choose a less intensive setting. Tixel® triggers collagen production, a gradual process that takes three or more months to complete. You may see results within a few weeks, with continued improvement for several more weeks.

Tixel® results can last a year or more before starting to fade. An annual touch-up will let most people maintain their smoother, firmer eyelids for years.

Am I a Good Candidate for Tixel® Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty?

Unlike many lasers, Tixel® works safely on all skin types and tones. Good candidates for non-surgical blepharoplasty with Tixel® have concerns about eye bags and sagging eyelids. Tixel® works safely up to the lash line, letting it treat your eyelids directly instead of just the area around them. Good candidates may have mild to significant signs of aging they want to correct. You should not have Tixel® if you have an infection or injury in the eye area.
