Average Cost of miraDry® Treatments
The average cost of miraDry® treatment is $3,000, but the amount you pay depends heavily on where you live and the clinic you choose.
Regardless of the cost, miraDry can often improve the quality of life considerably. When you arrive at the clinic, Dr. Schwartz will sanitize the underside of your arms and inject the area with a local anesthetic. Our miraDry specialist will then pass the miraDry® device over the target area for about 20 minutes before switching to the other armpit. After about 45 minutes, you’re all done.
Will I Need Multiple miraDry® Treatments?
Most patients see immediate results – in as little as one treatment, though some patients, especially those that suffer with clinical hyperhidrosis, do require a follow-up treatment. Results are permanent, as researchers believe that the glands that create underarm sweat and body odor can’t grow back.
Data suggest that the average hyperhidrosis patient sees an 82 percent reduction in sweat after one treatment and an 89 percent reduction in unwanted odor.
Am I a Candidate for miraDry®?
Choosing miraDry® treatment is very much a personal choice. It is suitable for anyone who is bothered by excess sweat and the discomfort that it brings to their lives.
Many patients consider the treatment if they feel conscious about their body odor or wet patches under their arms. It reduces the level of anxiety they experience and allows them to leave the specter of sweat-stained clothes in the past.
Those who stand to benefit most include patients who deliberately wear dark clothes to conceal sweat patches, have clinically prescribed deodorant, or feel awkward every time they raise their arms.
