How Much Does Laser Tattoo Removal Cost?

If you have a tattoo that you no longer want, you’re not alone. Thousands of people wish to remove tattoos they thought were a good idea in the past. Here at Premier Vein & Body, we are pleased to offer laser tattoo removal using the PicoSure laser. If you’re ready to get rid of your tattoo, you’re a great candidate for this treatment. So, how much does laser tattoo removal cost? It depends on a number of factors including:

The Size of Your Tattoo

The size of your tattoo plays a vital role in how much you’ll pay for laser tattoo removal. Our typical range from tattoo removal is $150 – $500 per session. However,  if your tattoo is exceptionally large, the price may be twice as much. Generally speaking, the larger your tattoo is, the more time it’ll take to remove it and the more it will cost.

The Technology Used

There are some clinics that remove tattoos with outdated technology. At Premier Vein & Body, however, we use the PicoSure laser, one of the most advanced devices on the market. While you may pay a bit for your treatment, the benefits of this state-of-the-art laser are many, including less pain, side effects, and downtime than you would with the Q-switched lasers that are often used.

Ink Quality and Color

If you have a dark or all-black tattoo, we can remove it with fewer treatments. In the event your tattoo is light or features many colors, you may have to undergo additional treatments to enjoy the same results. Higher quality ink is also more difficult to remove than lower quality ink.

Age of Your Tattoo

Many of our patients are surprised to learn that older tattoos are much easier to remove. Why is this? Good question! With an older tattoo, your body has already started to break down the pigmentation for you. So a newer tattoo may cost more to remove than one that you’ve had for years.
