Dermal Filler Types
There is a wide spectrum of dermal fillers available that address a number of concerns, from the need to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, plump up deep folds or add volume to areas, such as the cheeks or lips. They serve different purposes and often have different ingredients.
When looking at dermal filler treatments, there is no one-size-fits-all, which it’s why to work with an experienced provider with the knowledge, training and skills to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. Dr. Craig Schwartz offers consultations, where you can discuss your goals and the options available most likely to address your areas of concern.
The following is a brief synopsis of the popular dermal fillers offered by Dr. Schwartz:
Radiesse®
Radiesse® is a dermal filler that addresses mild to severe facial wrinkles and folds by smoothing them out. It can also correct volume loss in the creases that extend from the nose to each corner of the mouth.
Each Radiesse® dermal filler contains calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres to stimulate natural collagen production by the body.
Belotero Balance®
Belotero Balance® contains hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally produced by the body that helps the skin retain water and stay hydrated. It integrates with the skin to rebuild facial volume and structure.
One reason for this dermal filler’s popularity is how it’s effective at treating moderate and severe etched-in fine lines and wrinkles, including vertical lip lines found above and around the lips.
Restylane®
Restylane® is another dermal filler that contains hyaluronic acid. It’s the brand name for a family of dermal fillers, each of which is excellent at addressing various cosmetic facial skin concerns.
The Restylane® family of dermal fillers can treat moderate and deep smile and laugh lines, facial wrinkles and folds, cheeks, and lines around the lips.
Revanesse® Versa
Lastly, Revanesse® Versa is another excellent dermal filler that addresses mild to extreme facial folds and wrinkles. It’s also effective at correcting nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the nose to the corners of the mouth).
Am I A Candidate For Dermal Fillers?
You could be an excellent candidate for dermal fillers if you’ve developed facial wrinkles, volume loss and fine lines. Their appearance might be due to the effects of the aging process, or it could be down to premature aging due to overexposure to the sun.
Dr. Schwartz and the team at Premier Vein & Body by Schwartz will help you determine which dermal filler solution best meets your facial rejuvenation goals!
