Celebrating 10 Years of Beautiful Legs this Year!

A dual board-certified Vascular & General Surgeon, Dr. Schwartz had been treating vein patients since he began his private practice back in 1994. When he and his wife, Peggy, decided to relocate to her hometown of Kansas City, he made the decision to limit his practice to vein treatment, opening Vein Centers for Excellence – one of the original dedicated vein centers in the Kansas City area.

“I have never been so happy in medicine, since dedicating my practice to vein disease and aesthetics,” said Dr. Schwartz. “It is sad how much misinformation is out there in the public and even in the medical community regarding vein disease, and how many patients are needlessly suffering from it – when help is so simple, quick, minimally invasive, and cost-efficient. Kansas City has been wonderful to us, and we are thrilled to have been able to help so many patients here over the years.”

Throughout the last 10 years, the study of phlebology (vein disease) has changed dramatically, from the ultrasound and laser technology being used in-office, versus the previous vein-stripping procedures done in hospitals, to the certifications available through the American College of Phlebology. Through it all, Dr. Schwartz has remained a vein industry pioneer, always training in the latest state-of-the-art technology, and advancing his own vein specialist skills by the additional studies required to be board-certified as a diplomate of the American College of Phlebology, and to be certified as a Respiratory Vascular Technologist (RVT) and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). These latter certifications are critical to vein specialists in the proper diagnosis of vein disease through the use of ultrasound mapping of the venous system.

“Technological advancements have drastically changed the face of vein treatment, such that patients can now be seen, diagnosed and treated right in the office setting, all by a true vein specialist, without ever having to go to a hospital, or an imaging or ambulatory surgery center – thus ensuring better, faster, and more complete and satisfying results.”

Consultations Available Now

To learn more, schedule your consultation with Dr. Schwartz by filling out the form on this page or by calling his practice at 913-451-8346. Premier Vein & Body by Schwartz serves patients throughout the Kansas City metro.

Due to the complexities of the venous system and the oftentimes confusing relationship between varicose and spider veins, his office offers free consultations, but Dr. Schwartz also regularly offers free vein screening events for patients desiring basic information or differentiation of what they are suffering from. During these events, he conducts a visual exam and an ultrasound Quickscan to check for possible venous reflux. Depending on the initial diagnosis, his office will either work with you to schedule your series of spider vein treatments, depending on the severity of them or if your problem is more severe, schedule you to return for a full venous ultrasound, which insurance will standardly cover. His staff is both helpful and professional when dealing with your insurance provider, and are happy to take you through the process.
