What is Ozempic Face?

The condition that is often referred to as Ozempic Face is far from new, occurring in almost any  time someone loses a significant amount of weight. Volume loss occurs naturally with age, but  the rapid weight loss that happens with weight management medications, such as  semaglutides can cause these changes to happen in a short time. Common symptoms of  Ozempic Face include:

  • Loss of fullness in areas like the cheeks
  • Hollowness under the eyes and in the temples
  • Loose skin around the lower face and jowls
  • Lines and wrinkles caused by skin laxity

Because these concerns can affect individuals in different ways, our team will assess your  needs and develop a treatment plan. Many people will benefit from more than one type of  treatment to address different issues.

How to Treat Ozempic Face

When you visit us at Premier Vein & Body, our team will focus on understanding your goals and  the look you hope to achieve. Many people will benefit from a comprehensive treatment plan  that addresses sagging skin, volume loss, and other issues.

While some people with severe skin laxity may benefit more from a minimally invasive surgical  procedure, many people dealing with the effects of rapid weight loss can achieve their desired  results with nonsurgical options that fit into even the busiest schedules.

Ozempic Face Treatments for Volume Loss

When your body burns fat, it does not discriminate between the fat you want to get rid of and  the facial fat you want to keep. These treatments restore the hollowness or loss of definition that  comes with losing this fat.

Dermal Fillers

We offer a range of dermal fillers to treat almost any area of your face, including the cheeks,  underneath the eyes, jawline, and around the mouth. They can also smooth wrinkles such as  nasolabial folds. Your options include hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane® and the innovative Versa™ and fillers like Radiesse® that use other materials.

Fat Transfer to the Face

Individuals seeking longer-lasting, more natural options may our “Forever Filler”, featuring a  BeautFill fat transfer to the face to replace missing volume. This procedure transfers your own  purified fat from another area of your body to add volume to hollow-looking parts of your face.  Because the BeautiFill fat transfer procedure utilizes your own fat tissue, you can’t react to it,  reject it or be allergic to it, and once the fat establishes its blood supply, it is permanent and it  does not deplete over time as temporary dermal fillers do.

Ozempic Face Treatments for Loose, Sagging Skin

People who lose a large percentage of their body fat can develop a gaunt, hollowed appearance  to their faces due to excess fat loss and loose skin. While facial fat filler will replenish the volume, adding a skin-tightening treatment will deliver tighter, more youthful skin.

Renuvion® Skin Tightening

This minimally-invasive tissue contraction, or skin tightening, treatment uses a combination of  radiofrequency (RF) and helium plasma energy to tighten collagen fibers and increase collagen  formation. It can be used alone for tightening or in conjunction with fat filler for ultimate  rejuvenation results.

A thin wand is inserted into the skin, delivering a stream of helium plasma and RF energy to the tissue.  The helium plasma also significantly increases the level of radiofrequency energy, allowing for a greater and faster degree of tightening as compared to superficial or non-invasive devices (such as Ultherapy). Unlike the non-invasive options below, only a single Renuvion® treatment is needed in each area.  This minimally invasive procedure is performed under local tumescent anesthesia and involves only minimal downtime.

Tixel® Skin Resurfacing

Tixel® is a revolutionary non-ablative, micro-fractional skin treatment that rejuvenates skin by using a combination of heat and motion to stimulate collagen production and tighten skin. Using  its unique Thermo-Mechanical Action (TMA®) technology, this treatment provides exceptional  results with less downtime than traditional fractional resurfacing lasers that depend on laser  energy (such as a CO2 laser treatment).

For those with severe hooding of the eyelids, Tixel® is referred to as a non-surgical blepharoplasty,” as it is the only FDA-approved device that can treat the entire upper and lower eyelids, right up to the lash line, without the need for eye protection, since it does not use RF or laser energy. It is also safe for ALL skin colors and types.  A series of three treatments is typically needed for optimal cosmetic results; downtime is very  minimal with just some post-treatment redness for a day or two.

Opus Plasma™ Skin Resurfacing

A very popular and effective skin tightening and resurfacing treatment for the face (and neck, chest, hands, stomach and more!), Opus Plasma™ utilizes a combination of heat and motion to stimulate collagen and tighten skin.  Opus Plasma uses a combination of radiofrequency (RF) and plasma to create micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin while improving the appearance of lax, sagging skin.  It is also safe for ALL skin colors and types. A series of three treatments are typically needed for optimal cosmetic results; downtime is very minimal, with just some post-treatment redness for a day or two.
